Making a Home
Providing Quality Clinical-Based Services
Every day in our nursing centers, we care for approximately 27,000 residents
by focusing on better outcomes and a good quality of life. One example
is 80-year-old Tuey, who came to Quincy Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
in Quincy, Massachusetts, in October 2001 after she suffered a stroke.
“When I came here, the staff treated me very good and the rehab
staff helped me feel better,” said Tuey, who moved to the United
States from Hong Kong in 1948. Tuey is now a resident of Quincy Rehabilitation’s
Jade Villa, a 50-bed unit designed to meet the
needs of the region’s growing elderly Asian community. Jade Villa
includes Asian nurses and nursing assistants as well as a Chinese chef.
Tuey said she enjoys the amenities offered at Jade Villa, including music,
Tai Chi and reading from Asian newspapers. Tuey is also able to watch
Chinese soap operas transmitted via satellite from Hong Kong.
