Kathy Markham

Kathy Markham is Vice President of I/S Planning and Field Services for Kindred Healthcare, Inc. Over the past 22 years, she has worked with major corporate and public sector organizations in aligning information technology and business strategies and in implementing mission-critical business applications.

At Kindred, Kathy is the point person for I/S strategy and the enterprise architecture plan supporting our approximately $4 billion company. Kathy is also head of the project management office and the I/S recruiting and retention committee. Before joining Kindred, she held a comparable post with Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation, a company recognized during her tenure as number one on the InformationWeek 500 for innovative use of technology.

A 1980 graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in computer science, Kathy has also worked with KPMG Peat Marwick, where she helped launch a successful information technology practice focused on healthcare. She began her career with IBM in 1980, eventually becoming a practice leader for IBM’s consulting group in the area of application development.
