    Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers and Assisted Living Facilities Receive AHCA Quality Awards

    The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program, the nation’s premier recognition for performance excellence. AHCA/NCAL Quality Awards consist of an entry level Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award; a more rigorous Silver – Achievement in Quality Award; and the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award, which requires applicants to address the Baldrige Program’s Health Care Criteria for Performance Excellence in its entirety. Recipient facilities have made quality outcomes and customer satisfaction top priorities.

    Over 92% of our portfolio, have been recognized by the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living as an award winning facility. Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation – Mountain Valley was recognized as a 2011 recipient of the Gold Award. Mountain Valley was the only 2011 recipient of this distinguished national award, and one of only 11 long-term care providers to have ever received an award at this level.

  • Castleton Nurse Receives Statewide Honor

    Paula Curran, Director of Nursing Services at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation - Castleton, was named the 2011 Nurse of the Year for Indiana. She also received the Lifetime of Compassion Award from over 600 nominees across the state of Indiana.
