OPEN ENROLLMENT 2012
With a large number of employees waiting until the very end of Open Enrollment to call and make their benefits selections for 2012, many were unable to get through to the call center before the deadline. We appreciate that 2011 has been an extraordinarily busy year for our employees in all of our divisions, and that we have so many employees that are new to the Kindred Open Enrollment process.
Because of these extenuating circumstances, we have decided to open the enrollment call center for two additional days – Thursday, December 1 and Friday, December 2 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern time. Employees who were unable to connect to the call center should use the same phone number provided to them in their enrollment materials.
There will be no further extensions to Open Enrollment after the call center closes on December 2 at 5:00 pm Eastern.
While we are working with our vendors to minimize the impact on you and your families, this extension will, unfortunately, create a number of challenges that may affect all employees enrolled in benefits for 2012. Please understand that all employee elections may not be updated in our vendors’ systems prior to January 1, 2012, and ID cards may not be issued before then either.
For those that were unable to get through to the call center due to high volume, we encourage you to take advantage of this two-day extension of Open Enrollment and call as early as possible.
