Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City Recognized as a Top Hospital in Newsweek Rankings

OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 27, 2021) – Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City was recognized by Newsweek as one of the top physical rehabilitation centers in Oklahoma in the magazine’s annual rankings.

The award is based on quality metrics for inpatient care, service and follow-up care as well as accommodations and amenities. Rankings are based on a rigorous methodology that includes data from a survey of thousands of medical experts along with quality measures from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

“This is a great honor for our hospital and quite an acknowledgement of the quality care we provide our patients,” said Thomas Elliott, chief executive officer of Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City. “Being named among the best in the state and nation two years in a row is a testament to our team of compassionate, skilled healthcare professionals and their commitment to our vision of delivering hope, healing, and recovery. We are extremely proud of our hospital’s quality patient outcomes, the experiences our team members created for our patients, which lead to this award.”

The hospital is a joint venture between Kindred Healthcare, LLC and Mercy and provides services for patients recovering from strokes and other long-term illnesses. The 66-bed hospital features specialized clinical programs including a dedicated brain injury unit for patients suffering from trauma-related neurological conditions.
