The Behavioral Health Unit at Kindred Hospital Chicago – North provides acute inpatient psychiatric care for adult patients, age 18 and above, who may be experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis. The 30-bed unit offers a comfortable, compassionate and secure environment and includes the following services:

• Individualized treatment plans
• 24-hour coverage by nurses and mental health technicians
• Structured activities designed to rebuild daily living skills
• Individual, group and family therapy
• Recreational activities for stress management
• Expressive therapy
