2017

Kindred Hospital Seattle - First Hill has been awarded inclusion in the Antimicrobial Stewardship Hospital Honor Role for a second year. This public distinction is bestowed by the Washington State Department of Health. Hospital Honor Role status is earned by Hospitals which have Policies and Best Practices in place, devised to keep patients safe through the prevention of antibiotic overuse to decrease the spread of antibiotic resistance.

2016

Antimicrobial Stewardship Hospital Honor Role status awarded by the Washington State Department of Health in the first year of the award inception.

*Joint Commission Hospital Full Re-Accreditation status. Hospital Accreditation status is achieved through the demonstration of adherence to “Best Practice” Standards and Elements of Performance, which are assessed through a rigorous survey process.

Kindred Hospital Seattle - First Hill demonstrated and achieved all required Conditions of Participation as mandated by the Federal Center for Medicare and Medicaid programs.

 

*Approximately 77 percent of the nation's hospitals are currently accredited by The Joint Commission, and approximately 88 percent of hospitals that are accredited in the United States are accredited by The Joint Commission. Hospital Accreditation by the Joint Commission is often considered the “Gold Standard” for excellence in healthcare.
