Additional Types of Care

We are committed to proving high-quality care and outstanding service. Our goal is to help you return to the highest quality of life possible. In addition to our core services, we offer:

Chaplain Services

We have chaplains on standby to assist you and your loved ones with any needs or concerns. Your minister is also welcome to visit at any time.

Diagnostic Imaging

Skilled and certified technicians operate our imaging equipment, and we make every effort to perform the testing in as prompt and as convenient a manner as possible.

Food Services and Nutrition Support

Nutrition is an important part of your recovery, which is why our dietitians work with your entire care team to create your custom meal plan. Your food preferences and allergies are important—and our dietitians create plans that make the most sense for you.

Additionally, our dietitians perform assessments and monitor your nutrition plan, as ordered by your clinical team.

Intensive Care

After a hospital stay for a serious injury or illness, you may need continued critical care and intensive monitoring. We provide this close, constant attention through a specially-trained team of clinical experts in one of our Intensive Care Units or Special Care Units.

We also work with your referring hospital to make your care transition as smooth as possible without interrupting the treatment you require.

Most often, our Intensive Care Units, treat those who are ventilator dependent or require cardiac monitoring and intravenous medications. We can also treat multi-system failure or complications from an injury, illness, or surgery.

Our hospitals feature onsite laboratories, allowing us to work directly with your clinical team to conduct all required tests. To perform tests as accurately and quickly as possible, we offer advanced technologies and equipment.

Services provided, but are not limited to:

  • Hematology
  • Immunohematology (blood bank)
  • Serology
  • Microbiology
  • Coagulation
  • Chemistry
  • Drug screen testing
  • Arterial blood gases

Pain Management

Our clinical team is extensively trained and committed to your pain management and prevention. We continually assess your pain level and respond to your reports. We also provide information and education to help you and your loved ones make decisions about your pain treatment options.

You may request or reject the use of any or all methods to relieve pain, including non-opiate and opiate medications.

You are the expert regarding your pain. You know where it is, what it feels like and how it affects your life. During your hospital stay, trust your doctors and nurses enough to share your thoughts and feelings. We do not know when and if you are having pain unless you tell us. The best way we can help you manage your pain is to know what you are thinking and feeling.

The goal is your pain relief. Remember that you are the expert on your pain. Since pain may be a problem that changes over time, it is your responsibility to keep your doctor and nurses informed about your pain.

Pain Relief Strategies

Other strategies have been proven to work well by themselves or in combination with pain medication. Some other therapies for treating pain include:

Physical Therapy: specific exercises and activities like hot or cold pack and breathing exercises are used to help control pain and improve physical functioning.

Relaxation Techniques: stress and tension can make pain worse. Relaxation techniques can help relieve stress caused by anxiety.

Pharmacy Services

Our hospitals provide comprehensive inpatient pharmacy services where our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians collaborate with your care team to meet medication needs, educate you and your loved ones about medications and participate in multidisciplinary care planning sessions.

Sleep Disorder Studies

Left untreated, sleep disorders can lead to chronic fatigue and even serious accidents as a result of decreased alertness. Our interdisciplinary team of sleep specialists can analyze your sleeping problems and offer restful solutions.

Social Services

A wide range of social services – including counseling, discharge planning, referrals to community agencies and securing medical equipment for home use – is provided. Family members are also invited to take part in counseling.

Surgical Services

Surgical services are available around the clock. If necessary, for some specialty procedures, you or your loved one may be transferred to another facility.

Our hospital features an operating room, an endoscopy room, a pre-op area and a post-anesthesia recovery area. These areas are equipped and supplied to provide a wide range of services including:

  • General surgery
  • Podiatry
  • Plastic
  • Ear nose & throat
  • Vascular
  • Ophthalmic
  • Gastro-intestinal
  • Urology
  • Orthopedics
  • If needed, hemodialysis services are provided by a team of trained specialists led by a board certified Nephrologist. This department operates a daily schedule, with emergency services available.

We also offer a Day Surgery Unit as a convenient, efficient alternative should you or a loved one require elective surgery. We are staffed by caring professionals who understand the unique needs of our patients.
