Subacute Unit

Our Kindred Hospital – Louisville – Sub-Acute Unit is located within Kindred Hospital – Louisville on the third floor.

Treatment within our 47-bed Subacute Unit may be right for you or a loved one if you require short-term comprehensive inpatient medical care and rehabilitation. Most often, we care for those with a short-term illness, injury or worsening disease who do not need the medical care provided in a hospital but are not yet healthy enough to return home.

By having the capabilities of the sub-acute unit within our hospital, we can ensure you have access to the clinical services and rehabilitation you need seven days a week. The focus is on your physical and functional improvement to help your achieve maximum independence in your daily activities.
