As part of an initiative to give lawmakers an intimate view into the power of therapy, the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living invited members of Congress to visit rehab departments to see and hear about life-changing, patient-centered care. Many patients provided emotional testimonies about how different their lives would be without their physical, occupational and/or speech therapy, and the video was viewed at the AHCA/NCAL Convention & Expo earlier this month in Washington D.C.

As a member of the American Health Care Association, RehabCare shares the goal of furthering the quality of long-term care and advocating for access to rehabilitation therapy. Through our RehabCare Advocacy Network and alongside AHCA/NCAL, RehabCare works with members of Congress to discuss solutions to delivering care and solving the challenges of aging. This impactful video from AHCA/NCAL about the power and value of therapy in the care continuum demonstrates why we are committed to restoring function and renewing life for our patients:

RehabCare employees who wish to join the Advocacy Network may do so by contacting Barbara Wallace at barbara.wallace@rehabcare.com. Members will receive communications on our ongoing efforts and information about how to lend their voice.
