A retired member of the Blue Angels surprised everyone with a heartfelt gift.

Success Spotlight: A retired member of the prestigious Blue Angels flight team just recently came to the Palmetto Health Tuomey Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) to recognize the teams that cared for his mother.

Success Spotlight – Greg Bolden

Ret. Navy Petty Officer Anthony Greg Bolden wanted to show his appreciation for the excellent care his mother received at the ARU after she had a stroke and shared that he was impressed with the level of attention the nursing and therapy teams provided to his mother while she was there.

Petty Officer Bolden presented two photographs, framed and dedicated to the nursing and therapy teams. One is of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron, and the second is of Fat Albert Airlines, the plane that carries the spare parts, equipment and support personnel for the aerial shows.

The plaques each read: “To the Nursing Department / To the Therapy Department on the fifth floor of Palmetto Health Tuomey: Thank you for a job well-done while caring for my mother. Petty Officer Anthony Greg Bolden, United States Navy, Retired.”

From everyone at Kindred, congratulations to the teams at Palmetto Health Tuomey, and thank you to Petty Officer Bolden for your heartfelt gesture.
