Your care coordinator may have suggested Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation following a hospital stay if:

  • You need more recovery time with short-term rehabilitation

How does the admissions process work?

One of our clinical liaisons will meet with your care coordinator to review your medical history and current health condition. Once it’s determined that a Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is right for you, an admission date and time will be selected by all parties involved. We want the transition to be as smooth as possible for you and your family.

Will insurance cover care at a Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center?

We can help you determine if your insurance covers care with us. Part of the admission process outlined above includes verification of insurance. We can refer you to someone in our admissions office who may be able to assist with any financial or insurance questions. We accept most forms of insurance.

Does Kindred provide rehabilitation services? When does rehabilitation begin?

Yes. We believe early rehabilitation is essential for recovering strength and function. Our rehabilitation team includes:

  • Physical therapists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Speech-language pathologists
  • Assessment begins immediately, and the duration and frequency of daily therapy sessions will depend upon your tolerance level.
