Palliative Care

A serious, complex illness impacts all parts of your life. Our palliative care is designed to prevent and relieve the pain and suffering that come with the symptoms and stress of your illness to improve your quality of life. Palliative care differs from hospice care in that curative treatments for your condition continue.

This care develops your support system so you can live as actively as possible if you are facing many different chronic or progressive conditions, such as:

  • Pulmonary disease
  • Renal disease
  • Chronic heart failure
  • Neurological conditions

Our team of caregivers, which often includes a social worker or a counselor, can play a role in helping you cope with symptoms in ways other than traditional medical/pharmacological interventions. This can include help with physical, psychological, social or spiritual care.
