About Us
In December 2021, Kindred Healthcare was acquired by leading healthcare company, LifePoint Health. As part of this transaction, LifePoint and Kindred also launched a new company, ScionHealth. Today, Kindred’s facilities are now part of either LifePoint or ScionHealth. This transition will have no impact on patient care.
Specifically, Kindred’s 61 long-term acute care hospitals – along with 18 community-based, short-term acute care hospital campuses from LifePoint – are now a part of ScionHealth. Kindred’s rehabilitation and behavioral health services and locations are now a part of LifePoint.
This transition will have little to no impact on daily operations in the companies’ hospitals and other care settings, and patient care will not be affected at all. The names and contact information for individual facilities will not change; however, as you navigate this website, you may see logos and references to ScionHealth, LifePoint Health and Kindred Healthcare.
