Cardiopulmonary Department

We provide around-the-clock care by licensed respiratory care practitioners who specialize in keeping you breathing healthier! Inpatient and outpatient services, which include breathing treatments, long and short-term ventilator care, oxygen therapy, Spirometry, Pulmonary Function studies and more are also available. 

The care and treatments we provide, but are not limited to, are:

  • Oxygen therapy and monitoring

  • Artificial airway management 
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation 
  • Ventilator management and monitoring 
  • Patient Education and self care

  • Smoking Cessation Education 

If diagnostic tests are ordered by your care team, the Cardiopulmonary Department can provide:

  • Electrocardiogram 
  • Arterial Blood Gas/Venous Blood Gas 
  • Simple Spirometry/pre-post pulmonary function 
  • Holter Monitoring 
  • Treadmill Stress Testing 
  • Echo and Stress Echocardiogram 

We use the latest technology and ultra modern equipment for testing, diagnosing, and treating cardiopulmonary, neuromuscular, and respiratory disorders. Our staff is trained to care, educate, and provide up-to-the-minute resources to you and your loved ones.

Food Services and Nutrition Support

Nutrition is an important part of your recovery, which is why our dietitians work with your entire care team to create your custom meal plan. Your food preferences and allergies are important—and our dietitians create plans that make the most sense for you.

Additionally, our dietitians perform assessments and monitor your nutrition plan, as ordered by your clinical team.

Intensive Care

After a hospital stay for a serious injury or illness, you may need continued critical care and intensive monitoring. We provide this close, constant attention through a specially-trained team of clinical experts in one of our Intensive Care Units or Special Care Units. 

We also work with your referring hospital to make your care transition as smooth as possible without interrupting the treatment you require. 

Most often, our Intensive Care Units, treat those who are ventilator dependent or require cardiac monitoring and intravenous medications. We can also treat multi-system failure or complications from an injury, illness, or surgery.


Our hospitals feature onsite laboratories, allowing us to work directly with your clinical team to conduct all required tests. To perform tests as accurately and quickly as possible, we offer advanced technologies and equipment.

The laboratory staff is committed to the principles of customer service, total quality management and performance improvement. The laboratory's goal is to provide highest quality care to all. 

The clinical laboratory is licensed by California State Department of Health Services, accredited by the Joint Commission and is certified under the Department of Health Services for CLIA. The Blood Bank is FDA certified. The laboratory participates in proficiency testing through the College of American Pathologists and the American Proficiency Institute. 

Organization and implementation of procedures comply with laws and regulations relating to clinical laboratories in the California Business and Professions Code and California Administrative Code, Guideline for Laboratory Management issued by the State of California Department of Health, Laboratory Field Services and Title 22.

Neurology Department

Our neurologists provide different types of tests such as EEGs, EMGs and NCVs.

Pain Management

Our clinical team is extensively trained and committed to your pain management and prevention. We continually assess your pain level and respond to your reports. We also provide information and education to help you and your loved ones make decisions about your pain treatment options.  

You may request or reject the use of any or all methods to relieve pain, including non-opiate and opiate medications.


Pharmacy hours are 8 a.m. to 10p.m. Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

We provide contract CT, MRI, nuclear medicine and ultrasound services as well as in-house diagnostic procedures.  Our department is equipped with a new CR/PACs system and is staffed with qualified radiologists and Certified Radiologic Technologists. Our “OEC 9800 Plus” C-arm (mobile fluoroscopy) is an excellent source for outpatient pain management cases. 

Our department is open Monday-Friday,  7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Call services are provided to cover after hours, weekends and Holidays. 

Social Services

Case Management/Social Services are provided Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Case Managers and Social Workers act as liaisons between the you, your loved ones and our staff. We can support even the most critical, medically complex conditions.  

The Case Management department facilitates weekly team conferences between you and your loved ones and our interdisciplinary team for updates on your clinical status, plan of care, interventions, goals, weekly progress and discharge planning.  Also, we provide assistance for you and your loved ones with placement, equipment, support services, referral to community agencies, emotional and psychosocial needs.
