Orthopedic Care

When you are recovering from an injury or procedures like a hip or knee replacement, our orthopedic care is designed to help you regain independence and mobility.  

Our collaborative team is led by nurses; physical, occupational and speech therapists from our Kindred Rehabilitation Services; and Registered Dietitians. Our nurses are skilled in rehabilitation, orthopedic care and pain management. 

We provide care for patients with:

  • Total hip or knee fractures
  • Upper or lower extremity fractures
  • Lower extremity amputations
  • Spine surgery 
  • Vertebral fusion
  • Musculoskeletal disorders including: 
    • Degenerative joint disease
    • Osteoarthritis
    • Rheumatoid arthritis 

Our orthopedic care includes access to:

  • Assistive devices and equipment used to support individual recovery
  • Exercise programs tailored to fit your needs 
  • A nutrition assessment and education to promote healthy muscles and bones
  • Physical, occupational and speech therapy available up to seven days a week 
  • Assistance with the transition home or to outpatient care or community services
  • Healthy lifestyle programs such as smoking cessation, stress and weight reduction to promote healthy muscles and bones
  • Onsite case management
